High recurrence rate: BV often recurs and is incompletely treated and so it's not impossible that it wasn't BV. Then again there are many other possibilities that can also be assessed. You'll need a GYN exam and you should request that a went mount be performed to look for Trich/Yeast/BV. If you don't have a steady sexual partner, get tested for STDs.
