More info needed: Thanks for your question! To me it sounds like a condition known as torticollis. In severe cases of muscle spasm, muscle relaxers and even sedatives are often needed to provide relief. Hope this helps!

Strain: Most likely this was a strain of neck muscles and with spasm and some inflammation irritation or impingement of the occipital nerve(which exits from the neck and travels behind the ear into the scalp) causes the pain in the neck and lower right head region. Try applying cold to the neck intermittently for 24to48 hours and then switch to moist heat. NSAIDS like ibuprofen,if you can take them,help
