DUB: It is called dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Checking a pregnancy test was a good idea. I presume you are not on contraceptives. The bleeding is likely caused by some unexpected variations in your body's hormones. If this continues through another cycle, see your doctor. Perhaps regulation with the pill will be in order.
