If not controlled: May try taking non-sedating antihistamine up to 3 x daily (more than the recommended dose) plus Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at bedtime. If the problem persists beyond 2 days, it is unlikely to be from Monistat 1 . If not controlled by antihistamine, then consider seeing an allergist. If the problem lasts >6 weeks despite control with antihistamine, an allergy consult may be considered as well.
