It's safe, but...: If your symptoms suggest yeast (vaginal itching, etc; usually not much discharge, no odor), then OK to try Monistat or similar products. You'll definitely need to get care if it doesn't work. Yeast symptoms and vaginal discharge often are due to STDs and other potentially serious problems, so don't take chances. If at all uncertain, find a way to get care soon: health dept? Planned Parenthood?
