A member asked:

What amount of calories should i have while breastfeeding?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breast feeding : You need about 2500 to 3000 calories per day to sustain breast feeding. Drinking fluid is important, but if you don't get in adequate calories you won't maintain your milk supply. This comes to 3 good meals and at least 2 smacks per day.
