Pop and water in the: This complaint may be due to either water or wax that are trapped in your outer ear canal, fluid collection behind your ear drum as commonly happens after a cold, dysfunction of the connection between the middle ear and the back of the nose (the eustachian tube) as occurs commonly with nasal congestion/cold, bubbles naturally found in the lower jaw joint or when the ear drum is perforated.

Eustachian tube dysf: Your eustachian tube is supposed to equalize pressure betweent the outside and the middle ear. When it is not functioning correctly, you may hear a popping sensation when it is trying to open. It would be best to be seen by a local ENT and get a hearing test for further documentation.
