I have facial pain and swelling. my sinuses feel very congested. i am taking levocetrizine. do i need to try something else? or get off of it?

See your PCP: Some doctors advise against using antihistamines (levocetirizine) during a sinus inflammation because they can cause excessive drying and slow the drainage process. Ask your PCP for advice.

See ENT doc: See an ENT doc. Sounds like sinusitis and if so, antibiotics are indicated.

Nasal steroid?: Oral antihistamine alone does not provide decongestant action. Nasal steroid and/or nasal antihistamine work much better. See allergist if no response to above medications. Oral decongestant is no longer the treatment of choice.
