Sore Throat.: This might not be Mono. It isnt that easy to know for sure. The test we commonly to make the diagnosis measures antibodies for Mono. You body make these to fight the virus. Once you have had it, at age 15 for you, the antibody level will remain positive from then on. What you have may not be Mono. See your doctor before starting antibiotics or prednisone.
