Is it common to have large papilla in front of the circumvallate line of taste buds?

Hard to say: It is difficult to diagnose without a picture. Circumvalate taste buds are much larger than the filiform or fungiform taste buds. Foliate papillae are mostly on the sides of the tongue. It's not unheard of to see a difference between the back part of the tongue and the front. If you are concerned, a quick visit to your dentist would be advised! Hope this helps!
