A member asked:

I have clogged ears and tightness below the earlobe. can eustachian tube dysfunction cause the tightness i feel below my earlobe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes can ache.: Not only can your hearing become muffled but often there is an ache and discomfort. Various methods of ear clearing such as yawning, swallowing, or chewing gum, may be used intentionally to open the tube and equalize pressures. When this happens, you may hear a small popping sound. This condition resolves on it's own.
