See your doctor.: There are several potential causes of pain in the right side of the abdomen. If it is an intermittent problem, then I would go ahead and see your primary care doctor rather than utilizing the emergency room. I would only go to the ER if the pain was unbearable and you couldn't get into see your doctor soon enough. Otherwise, go ahead and make an appointment now. Good luck.
