Benign liver disease: This description of echotexture describes the relative level of echogenicity (ability to bounce an echo wave) of the liver. Assessment of liver echogenicity is of value for assessing moderate to pronounced fatty infiltration but is not reliable for diagnosing fibrosis. Smooth external outline means there is not cirrhosis. See your MD for additional testing and treatment for fatty liver
