See below: Renal refers to kidneys; parenchyma is the organ's functioning tissue rather than the ducts & other spaces in the collecting system; calcification suggests a calcium deposit; nephrocalcinosis is another term that includes all 3 concepts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/nephrocalcinosis lists many conditions that can be associated w/ this finding. Discuss with pcp or nephrologist.
