Risk of Epilepsy: Epilepsy is slightly more common in kids who have had febrile seizures. In a normal child with a simple febrile seizure, the risk is around 1-2% (slightly above risk of general population) Kids with complex febrile seizures, abnormal development, or family history of epilepsy, the risk increases to around 5-10%.

Not likely: If these are acturally simple febrile seizures the rate of developing epilepsy is about 1%.
