Or a general surgeon: Hemorrhoids are usually the purview of the general surgeon; there are colorectal specialists within the field as well. A general medicine doctor would be a good place to start if you are unsure about what is going on, and they can refer you on as appropriate. Fresh blood could be hemorrhoids, or anal fissures, or polyps/tumors. A lot can be assessed from history and physical exam. Good luck!
