No: Primary or idiopathic Raynaud disease is used to describe patients who have no definable cause for their vascular events. This condition is therefore an exaggeration of normal vasoconstriction to cold exposure and not associated with an underlying disease or autoimmunity. Secondary Raynauds refers to patients in which an associated disease or cause may underlie the attacks.
