A 34-year-old female asked:

We read a lot about childless women having higher cancer risks. is remaining childless a dangerous thing? how serious is this?

Not very: On the whole, women who are childless have a higher risk of breast cancer than do women with many children. But that risk is modest. Most childless women will not develop cancer, so avoiding cancer is not, in itself, a good reason to have a child

Do not worry: Not having children does not raise your risk of cancer. Pregnancy has its own complications. Do keep your weight under control, exercise regularly and avoid tobacco and alcohol.
