A member asked:

I went from trileptal w/latuda to lithium, then to cymbalta, (duloxetine) only to have my white blood cells rise every time, underlying condition causing this?

OK and surprise.: That white blood cells rise with lithium is normal, due to "demargination." Typically there is no reason to discontinue treatment. However for white blood cells to rise with Trileptal and Latuda, (lurasidone) and also Cymbalta, is baffling. It suggests that there may be a problem with measurement or assessment, rather than with your blood.
