Currently wearing damon system braces. i've heard that it's better than regular braces that need rubber bands or expanders. how true is that? and why?

Not true: Preponderance of research posted in well referred journals show that overall treatment time, efficacy, etc., has more to do with skill of the operator than the brand of hardware. Hope you are seeing a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist. Damon brackets, or any other brand of bracket, DO NOT alter need for expansion, elastics, head gear, retainers, etc, no matter what you read on the internet
