A member asked:

How does one come to know that his adrenal gland is not functioning properly? what happens?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Addison's disease: Inadequate adrenal function is called addison’s disease, and you usually feel very sick. Low bp, low blood sodium, high blood potassium. Poor adrenal function is determined by an acth (cotrosyn) stim test. See an endocrinologist if you have concerns.
