Possible disc: Pain in the lower back with straining at the stool may indicate a lumbar disc herniation. Some muscular conditions may also mimic this, however you should seek consultation with physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist to make an accurate diagnosis. Once an accurate diagnosis is made then appropriate treatment can be recommended.
