My girlfriend has a 5.8mm stone in her ureter. what are the possibilities of passing d stone on its own. shes has started taking alfusin tablets.

EveryoneMusGetStoned: Typically, stones over 5mm have a harder time passing so your girlfriend's chances are pretty much in the middle. It also depends on how high in the ureter it's stuck (lower the better). Sometimes that medication helps but it's no miracle drug and can make you dizzy. Drinking more water has very little effect; just keep hydrated and call your doc if it gets a lot worse despite the medication.
