Ear congestion rx: Mucinex (guaifenesin) is not as effective as other meds. If you have no contraindications such as hi bp or pregnancy, try an antihistamine plus phenylephrine.....such as Zyrtec plus D, or Claritin plus D. And chew gum as tolerated . this action helps eustacian tube drainage. Be patient.
