What is the recovery time for laperscopic hysterectomy for someone with type 1 diebetis and no thyroid?

Postop: I usually tell my patients 4-6 weeks depending upon the complexity. Some patients return to work etc in 2-3 weeks with limited lifting. I usually tell patients that if you have to use your "butt, back or legs" to lift anything then it is too heavy. So work smarter not harder.

Pls see answer: If blood sugars are well controlled on insulin and the HbA1c is bellow 7 and her TSH is normal on thyroid replacement and she is generally healthy, the recovery( depending of the ease of surgery) should be apex. 2-3 weeks

Depends on care: It depends on the type of care you receive for your ancillary medical issues. Is your diabetes under control? If not, it will take longer to heal with a higher risk of infections. Are your taking thyroid replacement meds? If not, the anesthesiologist may not put you to sleep. Finally, the number of cases and level of skill of your GYN surgeon matter. Higher numbers better results.
