Oral exam: You can see your GP or dentist but w/out an exam, no one can tell for sure what it is and certainly they can't treat it. Especially if you are worried, set an appointment ASAP and avoid it becoming worse and your anxiety causing other unnecessary problems for you. I hope it goes well - but do make it go!

Torus: Most likely it is a maxillary torus or "torus palatinus". It is a hard bony growth that is benign and typically stops growing after about early 20's. You might have scraped or cut it with crust or chips, etc. However, you should see your Dentist to have it checked to be sure. Could be other things. Check inside of lower jaw next to tongue -- often have similar there, too. Good Luck.

See a dentist: There are several possible causes for a bump on the roof of the mouth: it could be torus palatinus, mucocelle, etc. A persistent bump or raised area on the palate should be evaluated by a dentist.

Bump: There are lots of things that cause "bumps" in the oral cavity, most innocuous, some moderately to severely problematic. To be diagnosed you have to be seen, examined, possibly x-rayed, possibly biopsied. So please see your Dentist who can evaluate you, if necessary treat your refer you, or most probably just reassure you.
