Yes: No oral medicine works if you vomit it up. How long absorption takes varies some with gastric emptying time and when you are having GI issues, this can be prolonged. It is safest in this setting to be sure to use a backup method until you are in your next package and the nausea, vomiting and diarrhea have resolved. Hope this helps.
