See your doctor : Your symptoms could be due to a mood disorder such as Bipolar Disorder. The use of excessive caffeine or stimulants can do the same thing. Racing thoughts coupled with insomnia and the complaint of being unable to shut off your brain is classic for Bipolar Disorder. Please see your doctor to discuss your symptoms. I hope this helps.
