They will stop hurt-: -ing as they heal. Because there is good blood supply & they are supported by the adjacent ribs, after a week you should notice the pain noticeably decrease fairly rapidly.

Varies: Most rib fractures take approximately 6-8 weeks to heal. Thankfully, many patients start feeling better by 2-4 weeks. Moist heat, medications can help with the pain.
