How much should i rest with three posterior rib fractures?

6-8 weeks: I'm not quite certain if the term rest applies. Rib fractures are EXTREMELY PAINFUL. There is not much to do with these types of fractures but wait for them to heal. It takes at least 6 weeks to heal.

Comfort: In general, try to stay fairly active without aggravating your Pain. Patients with rib fractures that stay too sedentary run the trial of pulmonary complications.
