How can they tell if u have ra or fm when so many if the symptoms are the same? i have not been diagnosed with either but have the symptoms of both & both are present in my family.

Exam and labs: I assume you mean rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia? I am not clear for 'FM.' However, we can differentiate by physical exam and a few lab tests. I would recommend getting a thorough exam of your joints and muscles.
