It depends: The most crucial period for a newborn not getting sick with fever is the first 3 months because it may lead the doctors to do more investigations than sometimes necessary. One day or another every child has to catch the bugs and devlop their immune system, you can't keep them in a bubble for ever...Probably after one year of age a child will be able to handle sickness better than an infant.
