I have been on premarin (conjugated estrogens) 1.25 mg for 30 yrs. since a hysterectomy at age 26. two yrs. ago i started having hypertension. could the med cause this?

It's hard to say ..: It is more likely that simply getting older, or perhaps other risks such as excess weight/fat are more to blame. But as you are now at least 6 years past the usual age of menopause, I think you should seriously consider going off this moderately high dose of estrogen. Have your doc check a mammogram/bone density test, and clearly understand your risks/benefits going forward. Good wishes:)

Yes: At your age now lower dose estrogen or no estrogen would be more appropriate.
