Ur seeing arteriolar: response: Arterioles control blood flow to capillaris, body wide. More blood into capillaries of skin ↑es pink-to-red color of skin (skin actually yellow due to proteins). Intense enough capillary flow increase also tends to result in various "itchy" sensations, as in sun burn, niacin or post menopausal flushing responses. When we feel hot, brain ↑es blood flow to skin to release heat/cool off.
