Microbiology: Anton van Leeuwenhoek, a scientist and microbiologist from Holland, discovered strep throat. He conducted various experiments and came up with different methods for using microscopes. He is famous for many biological discoveries and is often considered as the “Father of Microbiology” for his contributions.
