Secretions: Your cough or sneeze can launch the germ into the air and you saliva carries it to anywhere your contaminated fingers touch. Frequent hand washing and covering your cough/sneeze help diminish the spread. Direct person to person exposure can also do the deed. You are considered contagious until you have been on antibiotics for at least 24 hrs.
