Groin pain: See you GYN ASAP. The groin has lymph nodes ("glands") which will swell and become tender if you have a pelvic infection. Your doctor will examine the area and test you for STD's such as Herpes, Chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. She will probably give you antibiotics and/or anti-viral medication until your test results return. Your partner should also see his doctor to have STD tests.
