NO: Saturated fats may actually be a factor in increasing LDL (bad) cholesterol. Changing to mono or poly UN saturated fats may improve it. Weight loss, exercising, not smoking and not being sedentary, (as well as controlling Hypertension, Diabetes and Hyperlipidemia) are the best ticket to good health, independently of age
