How does someone get a head and ear infection?

Ear infection: Ear infections and sinus infections typically arise after someone catches a cold. The URI spreads and affects the persons ears and sinuses. Also may lead to pneumonia as well. Ear infections are not contagious, the cold that initiated the ear infection is contagious.
