A member asked:

Why do we need the mmr vaccine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

For Protection: Just like we need any vaccine to protect ourself against the diseases for which the vaccine is being given.By getting vaccinated your body develops antibodies against the virus/bacteria which gives us immunity and if we are exposed to the virus/bacteria we do not get sick MMR is given to protect us against Measles/Mumps/Rubella the same way.It saves lives
