Not common: Due to the continued immunization efforts in the US. Polio is extraordinarily uncommon. However there is a base of pArents who resist immunizing their children and immigrants and visitors to this country who may bring a case of polio with them presenting a very small risk of coming in contact with a person who might spread poliomyelitis.

DoesNotExistAnyMore: There is no polio in USA. Polio has been eradicated from not only USA but rest of the world 90% Threre are only three countries where Polio still exists Pakistan Afganistan Nigeria.There has not been a case of Polio in USA since 1979.

Polio: No cases have been reported in the US in decades. Per the World Health Organization only 22 cases were reported worldwide in 2017 in 3 countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria.
