Polio: Has existed all over the world for centuries. There have been major outbreaks everywhere at one time or another. Due to vaccination efforts the virus was almost eliminated but due to turmoil in several countries, Syria,Afghanistan,Iraq, etc. vaccination efforts have been thwarted and polio continues to have a presence.

Polio: There have been no reported polio cases in the most of the world for many years. Per the World Health Organization only 22 cases were reported worldwide in 2017 in 3 countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria.
