A member asked:

How do monster energy drinks affect your health?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Caffeine & sugar: An 8 oz. can of Monster energy drink has 27 grams of sugar and 80 mg of caffeine plus 180 mg of salt (sodium). While it may have traces of B vitamins and ginseng, I'd go with an one iced coffee (about 80 mg caffeine) sugar free if you really need the jolt. Diabetics should avoid.
