Dry eye: Most common cause of foreign body sensation is dry eye. Otc artificial tears usually do the trick. However, if you were doing any activities recently where it was possible you may have gotten something in the eye, it would be best to have an ophthalmologist look to make sure there are no foreign bodies in the eye or under the lids.
