Vitamin D2 is: added to milk. It is derived from yeast. D3 is best. Supplementing w/that under the guidance of your doc is best. Peace and good health. D3 is derived from sheep's lanolin. If you take D2 your will need to take more to make up for the fact that it is not D3. Sunlight is the best way to make your own D3.
