A member asked:

Why is the amount of vitamin a and d diminished in low fat milk and fat free milk?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fat soluble : Those, as well as other vitamins, dissolve in fat. If you lower the amount of fat in milk, you lower the amount of fat soluble vitamins as well. Additional vitamins can be added to counteract this, ie. Fortified.
