Quite variable: If you have a retinal detachment than exercise that lead to significant valsalva(abdominal straining) like heavy squats/resistance training or inverted exercises(like hand stands) probably should be avoided. But in the case of macular degeneration exercise is usually encouraged to help to stave of progression.
