Follow your doc's..: advice.For viral illnesses there is very little that we can do besides "supportive care".Make sure that they are staying hydrated. Saline nasal spray to aide in thinning nasal secretions,treat fever as needed.The congestion will last 10 -14 days the cough somewhat longer (although progressively getting better).If your child is still having fever after the 5th day (greater than 100.4)go back to doc
