No: A one time it was felt that homes built in viscinity of High voltage tension lines brought in by overhead power cables might induce tumors in a way that it was thought that cell phones could induce brain tumors. These were speculative and have not been confirmed.

No: One can do a bad study and reach any conclusion based on recall bias alone. But after forty years of these claims from militants, there's nothing solid. Any research piranha at the NIH could make his/her career by showing a real effect rigorously. Nobody's trying any more. I'm glad to reassure you -- one less thing to worry about.
