Blood in stool : A trace of blood in the stool is never normal. There can be many causes of blood in the stool, but it is important, especially in your 40s and 50s, to have your G.I. tract evaluated anytime even a trace of blood is found, even if it is only one test. You should see a gastroenterologist. Good luck.
